Licensing of technologies : a very attracting Business Model for the appropriate companies

• Patents should not be purely considered as a “technical” issue or as something useful only for large corporations: on the contrary, they provide a crucial business opportunity for any company
• Producing technologies to monetize them , putting them in the balance sheet as assets, get revenues by the licensing of these assets.

While Metroconsult is a well known firm operating in the Intellectual property area (Patents and Trade Marks) Sisvel is the only European Company active between the world giants of patents licensing. Roberto Dini, after an intense experience as head of the Patent Department of Indesit, has been the main motor of Sisvel activity, which by valorising its own patents as well as third parties ones, has been able to license all the world leaders of consumers electronic industry.
Together with Ing. Roberto Dini, will also participate, providing interesting success stories about the event focus and contents, Dr.Pier Giovanni Giannesi, President of Confindustria working group on intellectual property and Director IP Department, Pirelli & C SpA and Ing.Giuseppe Perale, delegate of Netval, responsibile of Licensing Technology Transfer Office of Politecnico di Milano.

Dr.ssa Sabina Liebschner, presently in charge of the Subventioned Loans Desk and member of the Management Council of Associazione Imprenditori Nord Milano, with very broad experience, institutional as well as private, in start-up supporting, technological transfers and in identifying and securing corporate innovative and/or subventioned financing opportunities.
Will also participate Dr.ssa Daniela Bellomo Director of Science Park Raf Biotechnology Spa of San Raffaele Institut, Milan.

During the afternoon, one or more in-deep discussion table will be held, to develop some concrete topics and to allow the participants, to explore the operational components of the concerned business models.
